New for 2025: 

Pull for Our Neighbors. We encourage all participants to bring a non-perishable food item. Atheltes can place food items in bins for masters and juniors. The winning team in each category will have the choice of donating the food to their local bank or one in Tacoma. 

Learn to Row Clinics. We will host a series of free, indoor pre-race clinics in Jan 2025. These will help participants fine tune their technique, see the erg racing software and ask any questions. Stay tuned for details.

Free registration for all ErgEd participants. We are excited to help grow the sport. To that end, we invite all ErgEd participants to join us on race day. ErgEd participants will get free event registration and a free t-shirt.

Gym Pass. For groups that are not USRowing members (fitness studios, CrossFit boxes or other fitness groups), you can purchase a gym pass that covers all of your participants. The Gym Pass is an alternative to the USRowing membership requirement. Regular event registration fees apply. Please email info@tacomarowing.org for more information.

$10 Learn-to-Row Membership option. For individuals that are not USRowing members or members of a group using the Gym Pass option, you can purchase a one-time $10 USRowing Learn-to-Row membership, which covers you for all indoor races, practice, camps, and clinics for 60 days. It is my first time racing, what should I expect? Here are some helpful tips.

Our goals for 2025: 

• Create a safe, fun racing atmosphere that is welcoming to all.

• Continue to build on the success of the last two Ergomania events as measured by:

  • • More entries

    • Continued strong feedback from athletes and spectators

Notes:

• As in 2023, NWErgomania will include non-binary and middle school race categories. 

• Volunteers are an integral part of creating a great experience for athletes and spectators. We will need volunteers to help on Friday 31 Jan 2025 and Saturday 01 February 2025. 

• Rowing machines used on the day of the event will be available for sale afterwards. Email for information.

• Para athletes are welcome to compete in any event. However, in order for results to be counted towards national standings in USRowing Para events, athletes must compete in their designated category for that event.
