Summer practices, learn to row, and all kinds of fun on the water ended with an epic row from our home on the Foss Waterway to Vashon Rowing's dock and back, about 40.5 KM! That's almost a marathon length. Our fall season starts next month and registration is now open! We currently have two registration options: competitive and recreational. Competitive team will practice five days per week and attend races. Recreational team will practice three days per week with no races. The recreational team is for athletes new to rowing or those who prefer rowing without racing.
And it's time for Ergathon!
2026 Tacoma Rowing Ergathon Fundraiser
Your gift powers every stroke at the 2026 Tacoma Rowing Ergathon 🚣♂️. Your support helps keep rowing accessible for South Sound youth, from first‑time rowers to our seasoned crew.
Funds raised strengthen our community programs, supports scholarships, maintain and expand equipment, and provide coaching that builds fitness, teamwork, and confidence. Give what you can and help more people in the Tacoma area find their place on the water 🎉.
The youth athletes will row on ergs in shifts non-stop from 6am to 12am (18 hours!) on Saturday, September 12th. They hope to row a total distance of over 234 miles!
We, in the shadow of Mount Tahoma, strive to be a program that truly reflects the diversity and strength of our community.
We acknowledge that we are on the homelands of the Puyallup Tribe and the Coastal Salish tribes. The Puyallup people have lived on and stewarded these lands since the beginning of time, and continue to do so today.
We recognize that this land acknowledgement is one small step toward true allyship and we commit to uplifting the voices, experiences, and histories of the Indigenous people of this land and beyond.
We are a 501(c)(3) on a mission to make the sport of rowing more inclusive.
